Sliding fun on a summer toboggan run
The majority of summer toboggan runs, alpine coasters and alpine slides are situated in the mountain regions of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. By now, they have established themselves as attractions on their own, making sure that tourism revenues are not only generating during the winter season.
Thanks to manufacturers such as Wiegand, Brandauer or Fun Construct, participants arriving during the summer season can slide downhill at high speed with a plastic toboggan on a track or through a concave rail. Nowadays, alpine slides or alpine coasters in particular can be found at some amusement parks and represent a great alternative to classical roller coasters.
