Water slide park in Hellendoorn
The big innovation at the Netherlandish Avonturenpark Hellendoorn, which is officially set to open in June, seems to be a little peculiar. It is supposed to be a 5,000 square metre outdoor water slide park named "Aquaventura", without the amusement park having a pool area. Eleven single slides with separate safety exits should still be more than reason enough for little and big water slide fans to pay the surcharge of six euros.

Chiapas is growing
It won't be too long until the new log fume ride "Chiapas" will be ready to be launched at Phantasialand, one of the most popular theme parks in Germany. Embedded in the Mexican section of the park, the ride's track should cover five floors and three catapult elements, one even backwards. Another announcement said that the new attraction, scheduled to be open this summer, is going to feature an angle of inclination of 53 degrees and thus the steepest log fume drop in the world.

Four innovations at Slagharen
Built under the name Ponypark Slagharen 50 years ago, the Themepark and Resort Slagharen today counts as one of the most visited amusement parks in the Netherlands. The operating Bemboom family sold it to the Spanish group Parque Reunidos last year that announced big expansion plans shortly after. However, the anticipated roller coaster, which should have been created there, didn't come into being – the general economic situation in Spain took its toll again.
