Informed visitors to Movie Park Germany were prepared to see the first roller coaster supports this summer, but since the Spanish operating company stopped the project for 2014 at the very last minute, the theme park was eager to provide a new attraction in less than no time. The park succeeded with the exciting children's driving school "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: License to Drive" which proves to be a fun family attraction.

Two parcours for different age groups came into being in the kiddie area Nickland within the last few months. Children get some know-how about the traffic rules and experience the road in the driver's point of view. As this type of attraction has mainly been constructed on a permenant basis in a lot of family based amuseemnt parks, this idea is anything but new. However, Movie Park Germany acquired the rights to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles which are, by the way, about to experience a revival on the big screen. The curious main characters Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo show up every now and then to see how the little learner drivers are doing.

Driving in New York

Obey the traffic signs!
The design of the theme park's newest attraction is a real eye-catcher, and it is probable that the investment sum of roughly one millon was largely spent on it. Embedded in a nicely decorated setting, the two parcours with both real buildings as well as a colorful backdrop remind of New York, the place of action of the popular fictional turtles. Quirky and quick-witted staff members accompany the children during their "driving test" via microphone. Once the little drivers have completed the course successfully they can have their driver's license printed in an adjacent small house. Then they are proud owners of a license that even has a certain degree of authenticity.

This brand-new attraction does not require an additional fee. Visitors can thus expect longer waiting queues on peak days. Needless to say, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: License to Drive" proves to be disappointing for thrill seekers who had desperately been waiting for the new roller coaster upon announcement, but the nice attraction constitues another step towards the consistent expansion of family attractions on which the park has set its sights on for several years now.
