Rat mill enriches amusement park

There are only few roller coasters in Austria. Merely 20 attractions of this kind can be found in the landlocked country in Central Europe known for its delicious "Mozartkugeln” and its annual society event "Vienna Opera Ball”. So there is still a lot of potential left, considering that two amusement parks in neighbouring Germany have already reached this number. Austrian coaster fans are most likely to be all the more gratifying about the announcement of a newcomer for the upcoming season.

This year, the portfolio of the small amusement park Familypark Neusiedlersee will be enriched by a new bobsled coaster built by Gerstlauer Amusement Rides. "Rattenmühle” (German for "rat mill”) will then be supporting the already existing Mack YoungSTAR Coaster "Götterblitz” in providing sufficient thrill. Whoever is familiar with similar Gerstlauer's rides, knows that this type of roller coaster will probably be a heart-pounding attraction. Measurements of 430 metres in length, 19 metres in height and top speeds of 54 kilometres per hour give rise to the expectation that coaster enthusiasts will not be disappointed. Moreover, since visitors must be at least 1 metre tall to ride "Rattenmühle”, younger guests are allowed to gain their first experiences with roller coasters …
