Opening of Karacho

The new rollercoaster "Karacho" at Tripsdrill
Erlebnispark Tripsdrill is one of Germany's most beautiful themeparks focussing on typical Swabian humour. In 1998 Bavarian manufacturer Gerstlauer built its first rollercoaster "G'sengte Sau" for this outstanding park. 15 years later the 50th Gerstlauer rollercoaster premiered today - also at Tripsdrill in Cleebronn.

The launch coaster named "Karacho" is located behind the "Waschzuber Rafting" and was finished in nine months. The vehicles are launched by a 2,000 PS linear synchronous motor and speed up in just 1.6 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. Themed as oldtimers with a fake rocket drive , these vehicles have a new seating concept allowing a great feeling of freedom. The ride is very smooth and its quite running is amazing.

The theming of the area and station will be finished next year – a detailled model presented in the park and based on the artworks of famous French themepark designer Emmanuel Mongon shows what visitors may expect 2014. This is not the first time that the theming of a new rollercoaster is finished one year after the opening - "Mammut", Tripsdrill's wooden coaster, was also opened in 2008 and completed in the next season.

With a total of seven million Euro "Karacho" is the highest single investment Tripsdrill has ever made in its long history. This new ride will without any doubt increase the awareness level of this wonderful German family park throughout Europe.
