New Marvel comics indoor park in Dubai
At the end of 2013 a new indoor adventure-complex of about 11 hectares, which will concentrate thematically on the comics and super heroes of the US company Marvel, shall be opened in the City of Arabia. "Marvel Adventures” will contain several Shops and Restaurants as well as interactive family experiences.
It will be built by the planners of the City of Arabia, the "Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group” (IMG), which also take part in "Dubailand”, a major project on the outskirts. As part of the new city, the project shall be attached to the numerous different leisure attractions, which are mostly still in progress. Besides the world-famous comic heroes of Marvel like Spider-Man, the X-Men or The Avengers, which all will find a new home in the park, one of the region's biggest roller coasters will attract guests.
As the German manufacturer Mack Rides already published at the last IAAPA Asian Attractions Expo, they will deliver one of their launch coasters (similar to "Blue Fire” at Europa Park) to the new park. By that, the new fully air conditioned destination, which will be opened the whole year, shall attract travellers from all around the world, which also can gain benefits from partner hotels and airlines of the City of Arabia. After the financial crisis, which stopped many of the planned mayor projects especially in Dubai, the "Marvel Adventures” indoor park has got the green light of the banks.
