Naturally amusing

Situated more than 1,900 metres above the sea level in the Principality of Andorra, the eco-park Naturlandia is committed to maintaining a leisure park all year round with activities suited for every season with a predilection for adventure, nature and winter sports.

The concept offerd by Sant Julià de Lòria, a beautiful parish of the well-known country of the Pyrenees, in the snowy winter months comprises of land use occupied by facilities which belong to the La Rabassa Ski Resort, usually frequented by a crowd of skiers primarily in wintertime.

Restaurant with terrace and nice views
To this end, they built Naturlandia there in 2007 and thought about equipping the amusement and adventure park, which also gives good reasons to visit this place during the summer months, with attractions that are more focused on adventure, hiking or simply on breathtaking views to be admired from the magnificent level "Cota 2000".

In winter the park features snowmobile, cross-country skiing, caterpillar truck or sled dog tours, an eco-friendly ice skating rink or sundry circuitous snow slopes that are to be mastered with huge PVC snow slides. The range of attractions fully complies with one of the nicest mountainous countries when its summits are white and shining.

Tobotronc, the summery alternative

In summer Naturlandia has various aces up its sleeve ready to captivate casual tourists as well as lovers of rural life, wooden houses and melting rivers. Its winning card is Tobotronc, the longest alpine slide in the world with a total length of 5.3 kilometres (of which 3.6 are downhill). This is were speed and intensity come together to create an amazing ride surrounded by luxuriant forests and even snow.

Moreover, the level "Cota 1600" has attractions for the whole family, including Airtrekk (a giant metal structure that puts climbing and balancing skills to the test), various buggy and quad circuits, bouncy castles, pony rides, archery or miniature golf. However, for those who prefer to relax by enjoying the calmness of the majestic mountain, should definitely go for the restaurants, shops and facilities up there that make every stay pleasant and satisfying.

Furthermore, Naturlandia has opened a big attraction in 2013: its animal park. A large tract of zoological land where animals from the Pyrenees are to be found, such as wolves, bears, deer species and diverse farm animals. This is also the place where visitors learn about their behaviour and habits in their own habitat (something which is impossible to discover in urban zoos).

If you like to spend some time in the Andorra region and wish to enjoy a day full of activities and fun, you should visit Naturlandia, your particular therapy that allows you to take a break from the stressful everyday life of today.

Information on the writer Xavi Rodríguez (Jivo)

Xavi Rodríguez, aged 28, decided on a beautiful day to travel and cover one by one the parks on his way around the world. He still is fascinated by the magic and charm of each and every one of them. He has been furnishing his blog bloggercoaster.com with writings that intend to reflect his personal and critical point of view, without being tied to any park in particular, offering the chance to get to know new all types of parks ranging from the unknown to the most well-known. As he loves the thematical quality, the old school touch and the detailed work, he confesses that he is a fan of the unmistakable European style.
