Karacho - New Rollercoaster at Tripsdrill
Model of "Karacho"
"Karacho" is the 49th rollercoaster mady by German manufacturer Gerstlauer Amusement Rides, Tripsdrill invested more than seven million Euro for the ride. There are not much information about the final layout, but it is affirmed that "Karacho" will have four inversions. The theming of the coaster is also still a secret, but general manager Helmut Fischer stated that "We will be in a land of inventors".
In return there are some new fact figures presented to the media. A motor with a power range of 2,000 PS will launch the vehicles out of a 70 metre tunnel in only 1.6 seconds from 0 to 100 kmh. The track length will be around 700 metres, the highest point of the rollercoaster is a 30 metre high top hat and there will be a second tunnel section as well as a darkride part and an airtime hill. Additionally the new vehicles promise lots of fun. "We constructed a preferably open and wide vehicle" says Andreas Simonis of Gerstlauer Amusement Rides. Using normal lapbars are going to increase the excitement. With all these elements "Karacho" will be an experience being on the most interesting new rides in 2013.
Incidentally Erlebnispark Tripsdrill started a competition finding the name for the new rollercoaster some time ago, and more than 1.300 proposals were presented by fans of the park. The general management and the marketing department finally chose "Karacho" - an unsual name for an unsual rollercoaster in an unusual park.
