Big events cast their shadows before – today German Europa-Park presented new details about their coming new attraction "Arthur – Kingdom of Minimoys" at a press event. This new themed indoor area based on the French animation trilogy "Arthur and the Minimoys" by Luc Besson will debut in 2014.

The 54-year-old director, producer and author is one of the most important European filmmakers of the last decades and was responsible for movies like the science fiction opera "The Fifth Element" starring Bruce Willis, Gary Oldman and Milla Jovovich as well as "Leon" starring Jean Reno. "Arthur and the Minimoys" is very popular in France, so the license is a powerful instrument to attract more French visitors to Europa-Park. The 3,500 sqm indoor area is quite impressive and will be the largest indoor attraction since the opening of the park.

The fact that the building includes a new Mack Rides powered inverted coaster has been no secret for months, but now there are some quite new information about it which might surprise visitors. The track length of the rollercoaster will be 550 metres long and the cars will be able to spin. Additionally the speed of the trains will be permanently controlled allowing a ride fitting the dramaturgy of the story and crossing seven different kingdoms of the Minimoys' universe. The rollercoaster features a spiral lift and several darkride parts with high-tech special effects as well as an outdoor part. During the final part of the ride guests encounter Maltazard, the evil thief of the Minimoys' treasure.

Besides the rollercoaster the new indoor complex with its 15 metre high dome will contain a restaurant, a shop, a kids' corner, the "Mul Mul Karusell", the village of the Minimoys and slides. Also there will be a smaller freefall tower with a height of ten metres named "Klatschmohn Free Fall Tower". So visitors may expect a real blast at Europa-Park with a fully themed powered inverted coaster and a new mysterious world which without any doubt will not only attract younger children.
