Attractions and short trips in Peru

The Republic of Peru is a country on the Pacific coast, south of the equator. Unlike other equatorial countries, Peru does not have an exclusively tropical climate. This is partly due to the influence of the Andes, where half of Peru's population lives, in the mountain regions respectively. The Lake Titicaca flows through the Peruvian and Bolivian boundary.

The tourist attractions include the pre-Columbian Inca site of Machu Picchu, the Nazca Lines as ancient geoglyhs located in the Nazca Desert, as well as the Spanish colonial buildings situated in Lima, the capital of Peru.
