Attractions and short trips in Denmark

The former ancestral homeland of the Vikings used to be a powerful empire that even included England and Norway. Today, it is one of the smallest states in Europe. Although its territory is hardly bigger than Switzerland, Denmark is up there with the greatest when it comes to amusement park.

Besides the world's oldest amusement park Bakken, there are some nice amusement and water parks located on holiday islands such as Bornhold and Zealand. Its capital of Copenhagen is home to Tivoli Garden, one of Europe's most popular amusement parks.
