Walibi Rhone-Alpes in Avenieres over the last couple of years has experienced a changing history featuring different owners and reorientation of the service. Attractions like the free-fall tower, the rafting course, Tomahawk and the looping roller coaster Boomerang today make Walibi Rhone-Alpes a destination worth seeing again, while the emphasis of the park clearly is on families with children. With an area of nearly ninety acres the former Six Flags park today belongs to the French recreational company Grévin, just like Fort Fun Abenteuerland in Germany.
