Luna Park Melbourne amusement park is a historic urban park that can look back onto a long tradition. As early as 1906 on today's site there was constructed a amusement park by the name of Dreamland which in 1911 received its present name of Luna Park Melbourne. In addition to sixteen classic rides, among them Scenic Railway which was built in 1912 and thus is the oldest continuously operating roller coaster of the world, a special favourite with visitors of Luna Park Melbourne is the ferris wheel, allowing them a view to the city.

great fun to visit
I have visited Luna Park Melbourne on numerous occasions and it was actually my favorite when during my childhood days. And now that I am 18, I still find it great fun to visit this place as it is pure fun. However, I must stress that the park would really do grate with an upgrade especially on the outdated plastic tables and chairs.

The food at this place is pretty expensive and I would highly advise that you carry your own. There are plenty games, rides and other fun things to do with your kids
