Freizeitpark Plohn, situated in the Vogtland region, is one of only a handful of amusement parks in the former East Germany. With more and more new attractions for its more than 250,000 visitors per year, the amusement park is well-known beyond the region. The nature reserve of River Plohnbach and its banks is surrounded by meadows and woods. The walkways in the park lead to a variety of wildlife enclosures and places where you can enjoy the scenery. In the Japanese Garden you can explore nature by means of the popular Funny Boats and for those who like a bit more action, in the season of 2009, the woodie El Toro was constructed.

I did an internship last year in Germany and visited this park. It is one of the smaller ones in Germany I guess, but therefore it has a nice range of family attractions. Three coasters for every kind of scaredy-cat (or not) wait to be ridden. My favourite is El Toro. It is a small wooden coaster, but it has so much power. Great ride. If you are nearby, the park is definitely worth a visit.
But as gritt already said, the entrance fee is quite expensive. I have not ate anything, so I can not really say something about catering.

Nice Park with attractions for the whole family. Only the prices are not family-friendly.
